“How” - Everyone

I’m a blogger newbie, even if I’ve written over 80 articles so far. I’ve been with Phil for months building an online income. At the same time, I have also collaborated with another company to help me understand online marketing. As I’ve stated before I was looking to supplement our superannuation. Once I started writing it dawned on me blogging could be a diary of sorts. When my wife and I parted, my young children went with her. Although I kept in contact with my children over the years, I could not influence their lives in a way I had hoped. In fact, during their formative years’ others had far more influence over them than I ever did. I’ll stop there and get back to talking about monetising online content.
How do they do it?
I consume visually, watching YouTube, Netflix and other social media. It’s fun and informative, and a trap, time flies by, it’s distracting. Some of the YouTubers I follow, Tom Nash a Tesla fanboy and investment analyst, Anton Petrov a cosmologist, CNBC, Sabine Hossenfelder a physicist, Neil Patel a content creator extraordinaire, and anything golf. As you can see, no bloggers or audio vlogs. I might follow Phil, who has contributed to my site, if ever he decided to write his own blog. I find his easy writing style fun and knowledgeable.
How do these content creators; visual, audio, written, turn their creation into income? Prior to getting into the online business, I just consumed not thinking about the work they put in to create content or how they made an income from it.
This is how they do it.

There are several effective ways to monetize an online blog. Here are some popular strategies:
1. Affiliate Marketing: Promote products or services from other companies and earn a commission for each sale made through your referral link - Master Blogging](https://masterblogging.com/make-money-blogging/).
2. Sponsored Posts: Collaborate with brands to create content that promotes their products or services in exchange for payment.
3. Display Advertising: Use ad networks like Google AdSense to display ads on your blog and earn revenue from clicks or impressions.
4. Selling Products: Offer your own products, such as eBooks, printables, or merchandise, directly to your audience.
5. Online Courses: Create and sell online courses on topics you're knowledgeable about.
6. Membership Programs: Offer exclusive content or services to paying subscribers.
7. Donations: Ask your readers for support through platforms like Patreon or Buy Me a Coffee.
8. Freelance Services: Use your blog to showcase your skills and offer services like writing, graphic design, or consulting.
9. Sponsored Reviews: Write detailed reviews of products or services and get paid by the companies for your honest feedback.
10. Email Marketing: Build an email list and offer products or services to your subscribers.
Each of these methods can be tailored to fit your blog's niche and audience.
Research
The above strategies relate to most online business models, not just blogging. Affiliate marketing is the most popular way to generate income. I recommend you add affiliate marketing in your website Another popular way is selling products, either your own or by drop shipping. If you consider yourself an expert in whatever you do, coaching can be very lucrative.
Carefully study each method you choose to work with. Know the mechanics behind it and be sure your website has been automated where possible. Your biggest challenge is funnelling; the process of attracting your niche audience to your website and influencing them to purchase your goods or services.
Do what brings you joy!
There is no denying an online business is a lot of blood, sweat and tears. Very much like business owners in the traditional economy. The big difference is you have the flexibility to study, learn and earn at your own pace and have the entire world as your marketplace. For all the sweat equity you will be putting in to build your business, make the effort be in what brings you joy.
